Yawn of Death!

So last night I was taking a picture of my cat, my laptop, and I for a friend. (Trying to show how my cat Sawyer gets all up in my space when I'm on my laptop).  Apparently he was a bit tired when I took this photo...letting out a huge yawn!  And seriously those teeth?? He could tear it up...which is why I'm glad I remain on his good side.

Sundays

This is what my cat and I do on Sundays.  All day.  Today I managed atleast 5 hours of naps...I KNOW...seriously I had no idea my was capable of desiring that much sleep.  Oh well, so glad I was able to get it.

For Your Viewing Pleasure...

So I'm waiting at the office for traffic to clear up, so I can head to Kansas Sampler to grab a new K-State t-shirt.  It seems like the perfect time (and excuse) to get a new shirt.  Especially since I want to have an awesome one to wear to my class at KU (Edwards Campus) tomorrow.  The level of pride the boys in purple have brought out in me recently has almost reached the level of graduation day.  I can't ever think of time when I was more proud to be a Wildcat then that...so this whole basketball thing is pretty awesome.

On that note, last weekend I was a little disappointed at the selection of K-State graphics when I did a google image search, in particular, the very few old school willie's available.  So I took it upon myself to play with my new insanely enhanced photo editing software on my phone and create a few more options (color, texture, size, etc).  I then uploaded them to my Picasa web ablum.  So for your viewing pleasure, here are a few of the ones that have proven to be the most popular (from their view count atleast):

The Intruder and Preparing for Baseball Season

First, for my unrelated baseball update, to explain my 3am blogging.  It turns out that someone actually did break into our apartment building...they took a crow bar to the front door.  Awesome.  What made it even more awesome was some work related events that happened over the last two days and during my last visit today (yesterday).  Needless to say I was already a little shaken up when I got home, then the handyman told me to "make sure you lock your deadbolt."  Something everyone wants to hear.  He went on to explain that the person was only looking for quarters (from the washing machines) and that they were having someone come out to replace the door frames.  I had a hard time believing the first part, because first off, he told me this right off after I gave a slightly frustrated response about wanting to come home to a safe environment after being in dangerous situations all day...especially today.  Secondly, who uses a crow bar to steal quarters?

Nonetheless, the combination of events sent me into my all to well patterned post crisis coping mode.  I had already began part of it at the office because of my last visit, which is to take a few hours to do light fun things, like surf the internet, at home I started again and just watched tv (thank you ABC for comedy Wednesdays!), then somewhere after a few hours of light stuff, it starts to hit me how dangerous a situation was, though I still don't fully grasp it at this point (e.g. it's pointless for my boss to attempt to make me process the situation yet).  From this I start wanting to find some resolve for my anxious feelings of potentially getting hurt, so then I go to the internet and begin doing research.  I read as much as I can about how I can protect myself in future situations...so tonight it was What To Do During A Break-In.  Thankfully, one article was enough to satisfy me (still not likely I'll get to sleep for a bit though).  Which, for those who are interested, I do recommend reading the article (the above link) it was some good info.

Naturally, one thing lead to another, which lead me to this:

Which of course led to this AWESOME discovery:

And that my friends is how we get from intruders to baseball...and then to bed.

Locking it Down Like Fort Knox

(funny how despite my efforts this picture insits on laying on its side!)
I need to move. Apparently there's a random man inside our locked building possibly scopping...or up to something.  Thankfully my neighbors rock and got him out.  Now their on the look out, ready to shank anyone who looks suspicious. So yeah, after the bug crawling on me in bed last year, year it took to fix the hole in my bathroom ceiling, black mold and now safety concerns...it might be time to move.  So sad I do love this tiny little place.

Gross.

Either spring must be here or my cat is going bald.  Seriously...how does he have this much hair to spare and leave so causally around my apartment?  My proud accomplishment (and probably also highlight) of this evening was sweeping the floors...it's easily my favorite chore because I love walking around barefoot.

Found Objects

This picture includes the most random thing found in my car today (yes, the can opener had gone into brief hiding in my car), as well as, the two best things I found in my mailbox!  So excited to start reading.

Today's been a report writing day (and still is...).  Not so much a fan of desk jobs.  Kind of feel like a hampster stuck on a wheel...staring at it hoping it will move.  Now for more green tea to get the wheel spinning.
I'm enterering a whole new new world of blogging possiblites...posting straight from my phone!  I've been expressing myself more and more with pictures recently, I may start some type of picture(s) of the day...we'll see.  :)
